Dick Huey founded digital media marketing, social strategy, and consulting powerhouse Toolshed in 2001, and has orchestrated over 350 digital campaigns in his career.  Toolshed is currently utilizing proprietary technology to search and analyze social media platforms on behalf of clients.

Huey is a new media pioneer, who launched the New Media department at the Beggars Group (XL Recordings, 4AD, Matador Records, Rough Trade) in 1997, licensed the Group’s groundbreaking digital catalog, and set the Group’s strategic direction. Toolshed music and media clients include the Beggars Group, Merge Records, Righteous Babe Records, and Touch and Go.

Huey consults Swedish music service Spotify, and was part of the team responsible for the acquisition of independent label and artist catalogs for the recent launch of the service in the United States.

He is a founding new media committee member for the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), a board member representing Matador Records at Soundexchange, and a board member at CASH Music, which builds open source music technology for artists.  Toolshed had early advisory board relationships with Tunecore, RoyaltyShare, Sir Groovy, and Loudfeed.

Mark Kitcatt, born in South London in 1964, and there raised. Teenager and music fan in the late 70s and early 80s in said city and spent all his time and money in record shops in South and West London, the Marquee, Moonlight, like venues, and Selhurst Park. First job in Rough Trade warehouse in 1985 – stayed there until moving to Spain in 1990 - where he has been working since, directing and owning Everlasting Records and Popstock Distribuciones, the eminent Iberian music company with offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon. Currently President of the Spanish independent labels’ association, UFI, Kitcatt resides in the bohemian barrio of Chueca in Madrid with his wife, children and pets.

Founder, Rockadillo Records and Chairman, IndieCo (Finland)

Tapio Korjus of Rockadillo Records has been in the music business for forty years. He started out in artist management and the live sector, and later went into records and publishing. Rockadillo Records is one of Finland’s best-established and most globally recognized independent labels, specialising in electronica, world music, jazz, experimental and progressive. He has been heavily involved with music at Finnish and European level; he was one of the founders of the Finnish Music Export Office, a board member of The Network Europe and a board member of the European Live Music Forum. Tapio is currently the Chairman of Finnish indie labels association Indieco and has been an IMPALA Board member since 2009.

Cai Leitner has occupied various positions in the music sector, including Head of A&R and International at EMI Music Denmark, MD at Sonet Records Denmark, VD at Mega Records, and MD at Bonnier Music Norway and Denmark. He currently is co-owner of Cosmos Music Group Scandinavia.

Francesca Trainini has been the Managing Director of music publishing firm Fairwood Music (Italia) srl for over 10 years, and is experienced in the role of regional coordinator of the Fairwood Music Network of Music Publishers. Before moving to Fairwood Music, Francesca worked as a copyright assistant at Virgin Music followed by copyright manager at Chrysalis Music, and subsequently as a general manager at Deejay’s Gang srl. Francesca has a Ph.D. in languages and a BS.C. in Social Sciences.

The past, present and future of the !K7 label group is strictly connected with Horst Weidenmueller. In 1985 he founded !K7 as a music TV production company working on festival documentaries and live videos for bands like Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Einstürzende Neubauten, Mudhoney and many other rock acts. In 1992 he released the first edition of the X-MIX Series: digital video clips along with specially mixed DJ sets. One year later !K7 decided to launch the DJ Kicks series, which has been described as the “Rolls Royce of DJ Mix compilations”. In 1996 Horst Weidenmüller launched !K7 as an artist label. Five years later he started Rapster Records which since 2002 has worked closely with the UK based label BBE. Next to this, he also founded Ever Records: an indie rock label which brings the label group back full circle to its roots. Horst Weidenmueller is also Vice President of Impala and VUT.
