Recognised in 2009 by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world and heralded by the New York Times as the “hottest artist on the classical music planet”, Lang Lang takes the stage to explain how talent, technology and brand partnerships exposed his music to a broader audience, while disrupting the classical music world.

The French-Austrian TV presenter grew up in Austria before moving to London to study Mass Communications and Cultural Studies, and Paris for drama school. She started her career by hosting a youth program on a local radio station in Martinique. The following year she became the French, German and English voice of Trace TV, an international music channel based in Paris. 2004 she was finally to be seen on TV on the French channel Voyage and she co-hosted the KORA All African Music Awards in South Africa.
Since 2007 she has been presenting music and cultural programs for various international channels, and she traveled along the coasts of South America for Thalassa on France 3.
But most of her time is dedicated to French-German channel ARTE, on which she has hosted many music festivals and live shows, ONE SHOT NOT with drummer Manu Katché and more recently ARTE Lounge.

Heralded as the “hottest artist on the classical music planet” by the New York Times, Lang Lang has played sold out concerts in every major city in the world.
Lang Lang’s success has catapulted him into the world spotlight. In 2008, Lang Lang was featured in concert with jazz pianist Herbie Hancock at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, and he performed at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In 2009, Lang Lang appeared in the Time's annual list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. Most recently, he has been chosen as an official worldwide ambassador for the 2010 Shanghai Expo.
Lang Lang is seen as a symbol of the youth and future of China, and is an inspiration to the 40 million classical piano students there. In 2008, he established the Lang Lang International Music Foundation with the goal of expanding young audiences and inspiring the next generation of musicians through outreach programs.
In 2004, Lang Lang was appointed International Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). In December 2011, he was honored the highest prize awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China. In August 2012, he received the highest German civilian honour, the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, in recognition of his distinguished services to music.
